NorthMark Sign (formerly Welch Sign): one job record from ShopVox to Wrike, and the work that followed
I built NorthMark Sign (formerly Welch Sign) a webhook-driven sync that carries sales orders, work orders, quotes and invoices from ShopVox, its ERP, into Wrike, its project management tool. NorthMark then hired me for three more projects: Wrike API automations, an integration punchlist, and a production AI mockup pipeline that posts sign mockups back to the Wrike task for Sales. That's 4 Upwork contracts between August 2025 and July 2026, and every one of them has a 5.0 review.

What did I build for NorthMark Sign?
Four projects, each on its own Upwork contract:
| # | Project (Upwork title) | Dates | What it delivered |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Custom Integration Between ShopVox (ERP) and Wrike (PM) Platforms | Aug 2025 to Sep 2025 | ShopVox to Wrike sync |
| 2 | API Automations | Oct 2025 | Wrike assignee and folder automations |
| 3 | API Punchlist Items | Nov 2025 to Feb 2026 | Integration punchlist: migration, mapping, cross-links |
| 4 | AI Integration for Design | Mar 2026 to Jul 2026 | Production AI mockup pipeline |
How does the ShopVox to Wrike sync work?
When something changes in ShopVox, a webhook triggers the sync. It writes sales orders, work orders, quotes and invoices into Wrike as tasks, custom fields and folders, so production works from the same record the office created. The sync includes error handling and logging, and NorthMark got handoff documentation for it.
What did the Wrike automations change?
After the sync went live, I added Wrike API automations that add and remove assignees and place each item in the right folder automatically, so nobody has to do it by hand.
What was in the integration punchlist?
The punchlist covered the remaining integration work:
- migrating existing work and sales orders into the right project folders;
- mapping work-order, sales-order and quote folders per user;
- cross-linking custom fields between Wrike quotes and the matching work and sales orders, so each one points to the other.
How does the AI mockup pipeline work?
When a Design Request in Wrike meets the qualifying rules, the pipeline generates candidate sign mockups across a curated set of image-generation models and posts them back to that Wrike task for the Sales team to review. The pipeline runs on a Motia server and talks to Wrike through its API.
What were the results?
On the first project, NorthMark wrote that I “delivered exactly what we needed on time and within budget”. On the automations project, it wrote that my “turnaround time and attention to detail saved me a significant amount of time and rework”. NorthMark kept hiring me, and the 4 contracts ran from August 2025 to July 2026.
What did NorthMark say about working with me?

Can you build the same thing for my sign shop?
If your shop re-types jobs between estimating, production and accounting, this is the problem my Sign Shop Single-Entry System solves. You keep your shop software and your project board. I check whether both have usable APIs before you pay, and anything that doesn't map cleanly goes to a named person on your team to approve. If you only need one flow, start with integrations and syncs.
Questions
Is NorthMark Sign the same company as Welch Sign?
Yes. Welch Sign is now NorthMark Sign. My Upwork contracts and reviews list the client as Welch Sign, so I show them as "NorthMark Sign (formerly Welch Sign)".
Which tools does it connect?
ShopVox, NorthMark's ERP, and Wrike, its project management tool. Everything I built works through their APIs.
What does the AI mockup pipeline actually do?
When a qualifying Design Request is created in Wrike, it generates candidate sign mockups with a curated set of image-generation models and posts them back to that Wrike task so Sales can review them.
Are these reviews edited?
No. They're the four written reviews NorthMark left on my Upwork profile, quoted word for word.
How long did the work take?
The four projects ran from August 2025 to July 2026. The first one, the ShopVox to Wrike sync, ran from August to September 2025.
